Visit to the Command Headquarters of the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign

During his working trip to Điện Biên Province, on September 21, H.E.Mr. Azeddine Bechka, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Vietnam, visited the Command Headquarters of the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign in Mường Phăng Commune. The Command Headquarters of the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign in Mường Phăng was where General Võ Nguyên Giáp and the campaign’s leadership worked and made crucial decisions that led to the historic victory in 1954. While visiting sites such as the working hut, the underground shelter, and the trench system—simple yet highly strategic facilities hidden in the deep forest—The Ambassador Azeddine Bechka expressed his deep emotions at these historical imprints. He also praised Vietnam and Điện Biên Province for their efforts in preserving and promoting the value of this special historical site, the Command Headquarters of the Điện Biên Phu Campaign.
